You’ve gotta nourish to flourish.🍃We’ve all been through a lot in the last year. As we continue to persevere, let’s find joy in making our mental health a priority.
Let’s talk about self-care. We all need it. Life is busy and sometimes you’ve got to just make time.⏳
Taking care of our physical bodies is a huge part of self-care. The key is it should be something you enjoy and not an obligation. Go for a jog, do yoga, eat something healthy, drink some water, go for a bike ride.🧘🏼♀️
Emotional self-care is about becoming more in tune with our emotions. Checking in with yourself and being mindful. Work through negative thoughts taking them captive instead of bottling them up inside. Journaling, meditation and prayer and creative activities such as cooking or painting are great outlets.🎨
Challenge your mind to new learning. Read a book, learn a new skill, watch a documentary on something interesting, make a gratitude list. Spend time with loved ones, volunteer or serve others, it’s good for the soul.👐🏼
There are so many ways to take care of your self. Take a barefoot walk in the grass, burn a candle and take a bath, cuddle a pet.
But always live in the moment, find the joy in the journey and regularly make the time. It’s good for you.🤍🙏🏻
