BOOK REVIEW: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas 🤓📚

I did NOT think I was going to like this book. Fantasy Fiction is so not my thing… BUT this book, this story is CAPTIVATING. I literally could not put it down. I almost took PTO so I could stay home from work and read it all day 🤪

To me, this story was a combination of Beauty and The Beast, The Hunger Games, and Game of Thrones. In all the best ways. The story is beautifully written and Sarah J. Maas is an amazing author. My mind was watching a really intense movie the whole time I was reading this and i was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Do yourself a favor and read this book, especially for the ✨spicy✨ romantic scenes 💃🏻❤️‍🔥💥🎇⚡️

BOOK REVIEW: Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney 📚🤓

I was OBSESSED with this book. I was up until 2am reading it most nights, pulling it out while sitting in Houston traffic, reading it in line at the grocery store. It was THAT good. And the twist 😧 it is legit spooky!

In an attempt to save their marriage, a couple goes on a weekend trip to a church-turned-AirBnB. What happens in the church is frightening, to say the least. Each chapter switches between the characters different points of view and the wife’s letters she writes every year on their anniversary. The common phrase found in each person’s point of view is, “they are going to the church, but they won’t be leaving together”. What happens, how it happens, and who gets left behind is up to you to read for yourself. And it. is. worth it.

HOLY MOLY THIS BOOK GOOD! I was not expecting it to be so good 😱

One night, Alicia Berenson shoots her husband five times in the face then never speaks again. Criminal psychotherapist Theo Faber takes a job at the institution for the criminally insane where Alicia is sentenced so he can work with her and hopefully get her to talk and find out what really happened that night six years ago. As the story unfolds, so many theories, twists and turns are brought to light and the biggest twist had me literally gasp out loud. This was Alex Michaelides first novel and I cannot WAIT to read the next ones!
