This weekend I had an amazing girls getaway with my cousins and sister. We do this every other year and just head to one of our houses and spend some quality time together. It’s such a whirlwind, but it’s also such a blessing that I can spend some time with these very important ladies. It was nice to also have a weekend of adult girl time, and get a boost of love from my family #momtribe. One of our personal goals for Adelaide is that she values family. Taking the time, and truly investing in our small family and broader family unit, is not always easy or cheap. I took a flight after a long work trip to Austin then got into two separate cars to drive 6 hours each way in two days 🙈But this is the life we want. It’s the kind of relationships and family we want and value. Never let your job be the reason you don’t love up on the people and spend time building the life you want. Sometimes work takes a priority, but make sure you know what your overall goal is and use that to make a plan of what your priorities are more often then not.
