Real talk: I almost didn’t post this photo because my first initial thoughts were “wow you’ve been working out like crazy and yet you still look like that”? 🤦🏼‍♀️ We truly are our own worst critics and while I’m not where I want to be physically, mentally I don’t want to be there either, passing judgement on myself and having negative body thoughts is so damaging. I remind myself that there is an unrealistic standard of how women’s bodies should look and I’m not going to allow that to have an effect on me. I’ll continue to work on my goals and my health but I won’t be giving a s*** about how I look in a swimsuit anymore. I’m in my 30s, my body has birthed 2 beautiful children and I am not meant to look exactly like I did 10 years ago and it’s time to let go of that expectation. If you’re struggling with putting on a swimsuit, I’m here to tell you that no one truly cares about how you look, everyone is too concerned with their own physical appearance so rock it girlfriend and push those negative thoughts aside so you can enjoy the beautiful summer ahead.
