🔨 WHAT TO CONSIDER BEFORE BUYING A FIXER UPPER 🔨 ⠀⠀ There’s always something.. like that cabinet door that we forgot to install after putting up the backsplash 🤣 (did you notice that?!) ⠀⠀ I’ll be the first one to tell you that buying a fixer upper is a LOT of work (especially if you’re doing all the work yourselves 🙋🏻‍♀️) but if you have the TIME ⏰ and the ENERGY ⚡️ it’s totally worth it. ⠀⠀ Here’s a few things I wish I would have known before we purchased: ⠀⠀ 1️⃣ Don’t drain your savings to put down 20%. Leave a buffer so you’re not financially stressed right off the bat. 2️⃣ Make a timeline for work to be done. If you have a clear end date, you’ll be more motivated to power through. 3️⃣ You don’t have to make all your design decisions at once!! But it’s a good idea to have a general style in mind. 4️⃣ Pizza & beer is a good motivator & a cheap way to pay your friends 😉 ⠀⠀ Would you invest in a fixer upper?
